There's nothing in it, but I noticed he had a Masonic Fundraiser button. Makes me wonder if the guy might be a brother or they did some Masonic covers for someone.

Stonecutter,
get him to make some for the W.S. and you can sell them as a national fund raiser.  I am thinking it might help off set the cost of a National Office or National Rally.  I think we need to look for ways to raise money to help with expenses of a National Office.  Even though I know the officers would never ask for any assistance. Just a thought.

Jack Daniels if you please

Ok,now that I've gone through all those websites are will you nominate me for membership?
It seems to me I was in that room and bought a bottle of 1954. I saw nothing about this association otherwise I would have pursued it.

If you guys are interested I had a Masonic horn cover made by a Mason out of Nevada.
It has a nice blue tint to the square and compass. They are hand engraved.

I did talk to the brother about having a Widows Sons cover made. He and his son who is also a Mason said they had some ideas.  If your interested I can follow up on this.

I had asked him to come up with a WS emblem for the tag or gas cap on the bike. Something universal that didn't have to be just for an HD. I also told him about the Grand Gathering in KY this year. My only request was Widows Sons items not appear on E-Bay as it's only available to WS members.

I have one of those ordered and just got the "shipped" notice. It was $139.99 plus shipping. As soon as it gets here I'll take a picture so you can see it.

Brother Runnout,

I'm in Florida on vacation. Once I get back I'll send you a picture of the engraved horn cover. I did send the brother Widows Sons artwork, for a horn cover. As I don't have the info with me I don't recall the name of the company. It might be the same Chrome Illusions Company. The brothers name was Sandy.
But the work is great, it looks good on my bike.

I have been in contact with these engravers in Rhode Island...http://www.thunderroadlaser.com/
He will engrave the W.S. logo on either parts supplied by them or us.

Here is the response from him:

RICK,

We cater to Motorcycle clubs, applying their logos to various chrome covers using our "Tattoo Your Chrome" process.   With an initial order of 10 or more pieces I can set your club up with our special club discount.   The standard custom art fee of $100 would be waived and we can laser up to 65 various parts (depending on bike models and years) for roughly 30% off our standard laser fees.

Also let me know if you have any camera ready artwork of this image and I can provide you with a virtual proof of the logo on any of the parts that you wish to order.

Thanks,

Here is the site for Chrome-Fusion and the engravers are Brothers on the Square. From Las Vegas. I have had them engrave for my Heritage and going to have some work done for my Ultra.

I recently talked with Sandy, he's working on a new project for a universal horn cover. I had requested something that could be used on any model bike and the subject came up.

For those that don't know Sandy does all the engraving for the motorcycle escorts with the presidential seals engraved.  I've got to call him again, the first draft had the rockers mixed up.  I can't figure out how to get the picture inserted so it works in the web board to show you. He had our logo in the middle and could place rockers above and below.

Here is a partial conversation and the other site he does business under. Check out this site.

Take a look at the attached rough layout.  We use these to check our perspectives and to make sure we are on the right track.  You can see other designs at www.austinsteiner.com.  Your final design will be in full color and fully made of metal which attaches to our patent pending horn over.  Once a final design is completed, you will get a clean copy of the final design, in your colors, so there will not be any surprises.

There is no setup charge or any such stuff, but there is a minimum initial order amount of 10 covers at $139.00.  For larger volumes we can possibly offer volume discounts.

 Let us know your thoughts.

 Thanks

S. A. "Sandy" Steiner

I just ordered a derby cover with the center patch engraved on it. They also offered to add the rockers and my road name but I went with just the WS emblem. Very nice people there.

I guess I am too cheap, ask my wife it is not a guess, but I am going to try going to a trophy shop or lazer engraver to have it done. Just not sure if Harley chrome is thick enough to take it.

I ordered this in May, paid in full. STILL no cover! I've called and written and they promise that it is almost ready and I'll have it in a few days. I just called and told them that if it wasn't here by July 23 to cancel it and refund my money.  Angry

Dad,
Sandy and Joyce are good people.
They have assisted with fundraisers for my chapter.
Sandy's son is also a brother.  Once you receive the item you have on order you'll be happy with it.  He also engraves for the presidential motorcyles. They have the presidential seal on the bikes.

He's also put together a custom line which would allow a universal horn cover with the Widows Sons center patch and upper and lower rockers.  He needs ten orders to die cast the center patch. Send me a PM and I send you the artwork with the CAD drawing in PDF if you or anybody else is interested.

I tried to put it on the web board awhile back but couldn't get it to upload.

I appreciate that he's helped you out in the past, this all started because I ordered an engraved horn cover from JP Cycle and their card was enclosed with it. I loved the work they did. I was just upset because I was really excited about having a custom engraved derby cover with our emblem on it for a bike show in July and it didn't happen. Now the GG is in just a little over a week and I won't have it for then either.

When I spoke with them before I left for the GG (Aug 29) they promised it had been shipped. I am looking forward to seeing it when I get home.

As long as you have waited, you might consider framing it.

I'm also waiting on something, Joyce said they have a problem with the plating sub-contractor. Their not happy with the quality and it has to meet their standards before shipping.   I know it doesn't help, but the economy is killing small businesses everywhere.
Last year they delivered just like clock work when I ordered.

 Nope, not yet.

I did get the cigars I ordered from Thompson Cigar though. I am planning on having custom cigar bands made for the next gathering.

Have you received your engraved piece yet?
They sent me an engraved horn cover with the derby cover (probably because I had to wait so long). It looks just like I one I already bought from them. I was just going to send it back to them since I don't need two but I think I'll probably use it to raise some funds for my chapter's charity. I still haven't decided what to do with the derby cover.

Use the horn cover as an item for one of your fundraisers.

As far as the items I'm waiting on, nope not yet.
I know they are encountering problems with plating.
But this has been the longest delivery from them to date.Confused

On another note here's a picture of some of our chapter out on a dinner ride.
I broke a rear motor mount on this trip and had to limp back to VA...
