What are the requirements and cost to join the Widows Sons? The closest chapter to me is about 70 miles away in LaFollette, TN. I am just outside Lenoir City, TN.

Agreed. I still haven't figured out if there is a way to get an e-mail notification that I have a private message. Lately I have been logging in and then finding them.

Great website! I particularly like Meet the Members http://kentuckywayfarers.com/Members.html.

Towards that goal, The (original) Travelers Chapter is emulating our Brothers in Louisville and working towards a high-speed, low-drag, user-friendly webpage.  See:  kentuckywayfarers.com.  For some, a webpage is the first introduction to our Order and, as such, it should reflect who, what and where we are.

Will,

I get email notifications. Try going to your member profile under "Forum Preferences" and makes sure all blocks are checked yes.  See if that works...

They are all checked yes. I can't find any where to turn on e-mail notifications. Maybe it is just something for members only. I am a member of the Suzuki Owners of North America and they also use a Web Wiz Forum. On that one I can set my preferences for e-mail notifications of privates messages, new posts, etc. I found out about your post by RSS feed.

Brother, I have worked on correcting this problem in Tennessee. One thing I have done is create a form letter that explains a little about what we do, who we are, and what is required to be a member. I also include my phone number and state that you must get in touch me(or whoever handles new membership for the chapter you are inquiring about) through a phone call and we can meet in person to discuss the matter further. The reason I use a form letter is to insure that as soon as I get an email inquirying about membership, I can reply without having to take the time to rewrite another letter. I have responded to any inquiry I have gotten in less than 24 hours and many times within minutes of recieving the request. That handles the problem of quick response time, gives a little introduction and leads to personal contact.
